3/11/2023 0 Comments Adding itunes to freacI would prefer smaller size, but not if that will compromise quality in any way! Also, encoding time doesn't matter at all, I prefer longer if it will mean gain in quality/size. If relevant for my case, I want to encode my FLAC collection into AAC, with best quality/size. extract the contents of freac-cdk-1.0.x-windows.zip to anywhere you like create a folder structure like this: /cdk (contains folder system and cdk.bat) /cdk/freac (rename folder from freac-1.1.x.tar.gz package) /cdk/smooth (rename folder from smooth-0.9.x.tar.gz package) run cdk.bat enter: make & cd smooth & make & cd. Regarding the container/format I have no doubts, it'll be MP4/.m4a. What bitrate per channel do you reccommend to ensure transparency? I saw you mentioning 64 kbps per channel (128 kbps totally), but isn't this too low? Seems too good to be true :).Are all of them VBR? Why is it not possible to set bitrate with "Apple Lossless Audio Codec"? What is the bitrate in that case?
